Richard D. Damore, age 67 of Willoughby Hills, passed away November 28th, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. He was born April 22nd, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Phillip and Madelene Damore.
Rich retired from the Lake County Department of Utilities where he was a supervising engineer.
Rich was an avid golfer, enjoyed family vacations and anything to do with the outdoors. He loved the sunshine and spending time with his family.
Rich is the loving husband for 34 years to Philomena M. Jackson-Damore (nee Ruscitto); beloved step father of Jim Jackson and Steve Jackson; cherished grandfather of Alexi Jackson; dearest brother of Patricia Damore, Phil (Sherry) Damore, Robert Damore, Susan (Kenyon) Cornwell, Michael (Terry) Damore, Monique Mellon and the late John Damore; brother in law of Connie Ruscitto and Rita (Rino) Boreave; uncle to many nieces and nephews; and many extended family in Michigan.
The Damore family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, December 1st, 2023 at DeJohn Funeral Home, 28890 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine Street, Willowick. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
