Robert W. Carpenter, 77, of Euclid died on June 23, 2021 at home with his wife by his side. Born September, 28, 1943 in Euclid, Ohio, son of the late Greenberry and Bertha (Wurschum) Carpenter.
He is survived by his beloved wife; Sharon Komninos-Carpenter, his loving son Robert A., his cherished granddaughter Regan Carpenter, his step-sons Christian (Kristen) Bonk, Aaron Bonk, four step-grandchildren and sisters-in-laws Susan Nicoletti and Dusty Hoopingarner. Bob is also survived by his brother Ronald (Penny) Carpenter, his first wife and friend Judy Carpenter and many nieces, nephews and friends. Bob also leaves behind his best little buddy Tommy.
Bob graduated from Euclid High School and several technical programs; he was employed by Chase Brass, Bailey Control Meters, Addressograph and Cleveland Electric and Illuminating Company from where he retired in 1999. He served as a firefighter part-time in Eastlake, Ohio. He was also an avid motorcyclist and traveled throughout the country with Sharon and his friends. He was known as “Mr. Bob” by many of his friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. with a Funeral Service immediately following at 7 p.m. at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Avenue.
The family would like to thank the compassionate, caring staff of Hospice of the Western Reserve and the wonderful staff of Better at Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral & Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Euclid Animal Shelter at 25100 Lakeland Blvd. Euclid, Ohio 44132.
