Ronald Anthony Nagy, age 58 of Willowick, passed away suddenly on August 16th, 2022. He was born December 13th, 1963 in Cleveland.

Ron was the owner of Nagy Construction.

Ron (Knuckles, Ronnie, “The Fonz”) Nagy was a highly skilled and discerning craftsman whose abilities shined through his work. Ron was also a sensitive and compassionate family man and friend. He spent his life adoring his daughters, staying close with his parents and siblings, and hanging out with his many friends. Ron was proud of his Italian heritage and made the best meatballs his daughters ever tasted. Ron was active: he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and his 4 Wheeler, playing golf, and wrestling in his youth. Ron always stayed informed by watching the news and reading the paper. He spent his free time fixing up his Chevy Chevelle and other muscle cars with his buddies and playing Rummy with his daughter, Emma.

Ron’s life legacy will endure through the qualities he imparted to his daughters. He taught them to speak their minds always. He taught them to be compassionate and helpful. He showed them how to get creative and make it work. Most of all, he showed them how to love with your whole heart, unconditionally, and forever. His daughters will pass these lessons down to future Nagy’s.

Ron was knowledgeable and pedagogical. Many depended on him and will have to learn how to get along without him. He will be deeply missed.

Ron was the loving father of Emma Mae Nagy and Jenna Marie Nagy; beloved son of Joanna M. Smith and the late Ronald Nagy; dearest brother of Kim Gray, Joanna (Richard) Nagy Unger and Vince (Jennifer) Baroni; uncle of Falyn Gray, Marlie and Bailie Unger, Kaylee, Brendan, Dominic and Isabella Baroni; grandson of the late Steven and Emma Nagy, Francis and Pasquale Gacovoni; nephew of Rosemary Gacovoni; Ron loved “the Italians” and many other friends who were more like brothers.

The Nagy family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, August 21st, 2022 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM Monday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
