Sylvia Rose Peterson (nee Celico), age 84 of Mayfield Hts., formerly of Little Italy in Cleveland, passed away July 23rd, 2024 at UH Geauga Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born July 30th, 1939 in Cleveland to the late Gerome and Grace Celico. Sylvia was a retired medical technologist at Huron Rd. Hospital.

Sylvia was the loving mother of Marisa (Edmund Jr. – deceased) Corsi and David (Amanda) Peterson; beloved grandmother of Heather (Pete) Foradis, Edmund Corsi III, Hannah, Allison and Connor Peterson, and Isaac DiYanni; great grandmother of Layla, Angeliki and Breeanna Foradis; sister of Concetta Ferrette and the late Dolores Ennis, Jerome (Margarete) Celico, Theresa Kowalcyk and Dominic (Lucille) Celico; beloved aunt of many.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM SUNDAY, JULY 28th, 2024 at JEFF MONREAL FUNERAL HOME, 1000 MENTOR AVE., PAINESVILLE. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 29th, 2024 at Holy Rosary Church, 12021 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland (please meet at the church).

    Our longtime dear friend from Murray Hill School to the present. A wonderful loving friend, you will be missed by so many! We are so sad to lose you and may you now rest in peace. Our condolences to all her family.
