Wanda June Martich (nee Jones)

Wanda June Martich (nee Jones), age 88 of Eastlake, passed away August 9th, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born August 1st, 1938 in Snow Hill, West Virginia to the late Silver and Mary Jones.

Wanda was a loving homemaker for her family. She was a former volunteer at Meals on Wheels, and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved cooking homemade meals, singing along to country music, smiling at babies, playing slot machines, and just having a good time.

Wanda was the loving wife and best friend for 59 years to Daniel Joseph Martich; beloved mother of Danyel (Duke) Rieth, Thomas (Ann Marie) Martich, and the late Ronda (Tom) Schaefer; dearest grandmother of Mackenzy Schaefer, Owen (Erica) Schaefer, Grace Schaefer, Diana Rieth, Emma (Sam Amatto – fiancé) Martich, Daniel Martich, and Nora Martich; great grandmother of Ronnie Schaefer; beloved sister of Darrell Jones and the late Maude Moss, Warren Jones, Lena Bardo, Lonnie Jones, Della Fiedler, Paul Jones, Luella Lavine, Louise Shifflet, and Bonnie Harlow; aunt to many nieces and nephews.

All services for Wanda were private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Painesville.

    I’m truly sorry for your loss of Aunt Wanda. You have my and Barry’s deepest condolences. She was a unique individual for sure!
