William Donald Kidd Sr.

4/18/1946 - 10/06/2024

William Donald Kidd Sr., age 78 of Eastlake, passed away October 6th, 2024 at Concord Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was born April 18th, 1946 in East Cleveland to the late Carlton Sr. and Jean Kidd.

Bill was a retired Quality Control Engineer at Gould/Westinghouse and Absco/TT Electronics.

Bill was a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army and former Eastlake Youth Basketball President. Bill enjoyed spending time at their Family Farm over the last 50 plus years and for anyone who knew him, that was truly his “Happy Place”. They held an Annual Picnic there for the last 45 years and that included this year when they hosted their Grandson’s Wedding Reception.

Bill was the loving husband of 52 years to Nancy Kidd (nee Bals); beloved father of William Jr. (Jennifer) Kidd and Kelly (Steve) Skufca; dearest grandpa of Will (Kaysie) Kidd, Joe Kidd, Logan Skufca and Troy Skufca; brother of Chuck (Shirlee) Kidd, Pat (John-deceased) Varga, Rich (Shirley-deceased) Kidd and the late Carlton Kidd Jr. and the late Jerry (Donna) Kidd; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 10th, 2024 at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill’s name to Elara Caring Hospice Foundation https://elaracaringhospicefoundation.org/

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Painesville.

  2. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with Bill and Nancy since we live so far apart. As a brother I have fond memories of our times growing up together in the little house in Euclid Ohio and the great times out at the farm in the annual corn roast. You’re in God’s hands now which we all will be soon all my love to you brother

  6. I went to high school with Bill and played on the Willowick Cafe championship basketball team with him. I remember him as a great guy with a dry sense of humor. Rest in peace. Larry Kopniske

    I’m so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I too remember and loved the picnic’s at “The Farm”! You were so blessed to have a wonderful caring husband for all these years! We were blessed to have known him for the time we had. May he Rest in peace.
