Zachary Michael Dodd, age 23 of Willowick passed away April 11th, 2016.

Zach is survived by his loving parents Shawn and Kimberly (nee Shumar) Dodd; dearest siblings Tyler and Jessica Dodd; grandparents Mike and Peggy Shumar and the late Walter and Joyce Dodd; aunts and uncles Kristin (Brandon) Colaluca, Stacy (Joe) Stankus and Michael (Tricia) Shumar; cousins Hanna Stankus, Piper Colaluca, Alli and Anthony Shumar.

Zach was currently serving in the U.S Navy. Burial at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.

Funeral Mass 10 AM Saturday, April 16th, 2016 at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 460 East 321st Street, Willowick.

Visitation 2-8 PM Friday at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor.

Donations can be made at any Chase Bank to “The Shawn and Kimberly Dodd donation account” #3307120880 to help defray their expenses.

    I am very proud of this young man and his dedication and service to our country. Peggy has been so proud and shared many photos and memories throughout the years we’ve been friends on facebook. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. God bless this young man.

  7. My Deepest Sympathy to the Family of Zachary. I feel your pain as a Dad who lost a Son suddenly in June of 2007. His Birthday was March 22nd. I have a Butterfly in his Memory on a wall at the Children’s Memorial Butterfly Garden in Manry Park.The Garden was Dedicated in 2008 by The Compassionate Friends Support Group of Lake County. The Group is for Parents & Siblings who have lost a Loved One. My Prayers are with you during this difficult time. Ed
